The Scientific Council is a professional body of the Institute. According to the Statute, it has 12 members.

Deputy president of the Scientific Council: Dr. Mara Tabaković Tosić, Principal research fellow

The Scientific Council:

  • Suggests a program of scientific research, in accordance with the Strategy;
  • Proposes scientific projects and evaluates the results of completed projects;
  • Analyzes and approves reports on the implementation of projects;
  • Aanalyzes and evaluates the scientific work of researchers;
  • Defines the proposal for the acquisition of scientific titles;
  • Decides on the acquisition of research titles;
  • Provides an opinion to the managing board on the candidates for directors of the scientific institute, the research and development institute and the national institute;
  • Provides a reasoned proposal for the appointment or dismissal of its representatives in the managing board of the Institute;
  • Proposes the purchase of scientific equipment to the board of directors;
  • Performs other tasks stipulated by the Statute of the Institute and the Law on Scientific Research
