The Scientific Council:
- Suggests a program of scientific research, in accordance with the Strategy;
- Proposes scientific projects and evaluates the results of completed projects;
- Analyzes and approves reports on the implementation of projects;
- Aanalyzes and evaluates the scientific work of researchers;
- Defines the proposal for the acquisition of scientific titles;
- Decides on the acquisition of research titles;
- Provides an opinion to the managing board on the candidates for directors of the scientific institute, the research and development institute and the national institute;
- Provides a reasoned proposal for the appointment or dismissal of its representatives in the managing board of the Institute;
- Proposes the purchase of scientific equipment to the board of directors;
- Performs other tasks stipulated by the Statute of the Institute and the Law on Scientific Research
